Couple months ago I went back home in Republic of Congo after 2 years. It was a good feeling being there, seeing people around talking, having fun despite of the heat.

I went to this nice place every local knows in Brazzaville; "Les Rapides" which means The Rapids because of the river.

This river is The Congo River, the second largest river in the world after the Amazon River, by the volume of water discharged. 

It separates two countries; in one side the Republic of the Congo whose capital city is Brazzaville and the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC) whose capital is Kinshasa. Most people in the world don't know that.

Well, the river is very long. This is just a small part of it. This place is so relax and not far from the city. You can get there easily and take a drink with your friends, if you are brave enough you can try to jump in water like the young boys in the pictures (but I do not recommend).

This trip back home was perfect! I enjoyed every single moment, I can't wait to go back :)
